John Dorris - sings the baritone for the group and is the originator of Glad Heart Quartet. John started Glad Heart over 15 years ago. After taking a recent 2 year break, they are back traveling and spreading the gospel in song all across southern Illinois. John is married to his wife, Sonya, and they have three children, Nick-12, Zack-7 and Macy Jo-4. When John and Sonya are not managing Glad Heart, John works at Weeks Chevrolet in Benton and has since1992. John loves to ride his horse and play with the children out on the farm. John is proud of his family and their involvement in southern gospel music. Don't be surprised if you see Zack and Macy up on the platform as they sing at some of the Glad Heart appearance.

Sonya Dorris - sings tenor for the group and along with her husband John, manages the group.

Dave Kinsey - Sing lead for the group and was born in Cape Girardeau, MO in 1961.  He now lives in Thompsonville, IL and works as a Telecommunicator Specialist for the Illinois State Police in DuQuoin, IL.  Dave has 3 girls, Sarah, 25, Tarah, 23 and Annie, 11.  He  started with Glad Heart in March, 2005.  Raised in a Christian home and a musically talented family, singing has just rubbed off on him.  He always liked to sing, just not in public.  Sitting in the back of a Baptist church singing hymms, John pestered him for 2 years to sing with him and finally Dave gave in.  "This is my first time singing Southern Gospel and love it," said Dave.  "I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the Lord in this capacity."

Larry Morris - sings bass for the Glad Heart Quartet, is 55 years old and has lived in West Frankfort, IL all of his life. He started singing southern gospel music just about a year and a half ago. Larry attends the First Christian Church in West Frankfort where he has been a member for about 15 years. When he is not singing, he works as a federal coal mine inspector for the Mine Safety and Health Administrations (MSHA). He has been married to his lovely wife Alberta for 35 years (she has quite a few stars in her crown for putting up with him for that long). Alberta is a teacher's aid at the Frankfort Intermediate School in the learning disabled classes. The have a son, Ryan, 24 years old, and a police officer for the city of Herrin, IL and a daughter, Jessica, 19 years old, who is a sophmore at John A. Logan college.
